I'd say that Kenny of Commonwealth Home Inspections is 100 independent, he's not politically biased or influenced. Instead, he's completely and totally there for the person who hired him. Kenny is very professional, exceptionally detailed and accurate. I think that the value is easily justified with the finished product received. I'm absolutely a big supporter of Commonwealth Home Inspections!

This was our second time using Kenny from Commonwealth Home Inspections. I first found him through a Realtor, by asking "who was the most meticulous, pickiest inspector in the business?" I wanted a contractor who would inspect the home as if he were buying it for himself. Kenny was the person that fit the bill. He really is meticulous in both his inspections and his reports. He has the ability to show the customer exactly what he would do if he were the one buying. I also appreciate that he creates a schedule of maintenance, listing in order how he would go about fixing things. His reports are very detail-oriented and really help to empower the home-buyer with negotiations. I highly recommend his services.

I was days away from closing on a home that I had been told was inspected on three separate occasions by three different home inspection companies. I was told that there was no reason for me to even bother with having another inspection. I was determined and called Kenny at Commonwealth. Because we were so close to closing we had very small window of when we could do the inspection. Kenny went out of his way to accommodate my very particular scheduling needs. Kenny found years worth of mold in the crawlspace (a space I had been told was clear by the other inspectors). The damage in mold would have been thousands of dollars to rectify and that would not have even fixed the CAUSE of the mold. Kenny is a lifesaver. I thank God that we had him come inspect our potential home. My family will use Kenny for any and all of our home inspection needs from now into the future. Thank you Kenny, for doing such an amazing job!

Kenny, from Commonwealth Home Inspections, was extremely thorough. He did a good job explaining things that he found. He also helped by giving me some idea about which items were important and which ones were less important. He was also available to answer any questions after the inspection, and we emailed back and forth quite a few times. It was my first time using Commonwealth Home Inspections, and I would certainly use him again. I will also recommend him to others. He was very thorough and helpful, certainly better than my prior home inspection experiences.

Commonwealth Home Inspections are great. I found them on the internet, and hired them to inspect the home I am buying. They saved me a lot of money and trouble, and I'll be using them again in about a month for a final inspection. Commonwealth were very professional and knowledgeable. They worked well with us to explain what we needed to do to pass inspection. When they found a problem, they really took the time to familiarize us with the issue so we could have it fixed quickly, with as little effort as possible. A company like Commonwealth can really help to take the headache out of purchasing a new home. I definitely recommend them.

I went to meet Kenny Martin at the house we will soon be moving into and as I pulled up I noticed a guy helping some lady next door with some outdoor caulking....It was Kenny, lending a helping hand. As I approached he kindly introduced himself and we got going. While I have been doing home remodeling with my dad since I was a kid, I have respect and appreciation for Home Inspectors who spend the necessary time to find any and all possible problems. He was excellent for that!! If you want someone to tell you your house is perfect, he's not the guy....If you want someone to look at virtually every inch of your house and let you know of past, current, and future problems, Kenny is the man for the job. He was very informative, giving me insight on Code standards, typical wear and tear, and possible causes and solutions to the problems he found. He has a great deal of knowledge, backed by many years of experience. You can't teach experience.
While I was not originally worried about all the little things (since I will be able to fix them myself), he provided me with great comfort knowing that before moving into our new home I already have the list of what needs to be done, how it might be done, and why it should be done.
One specific example of his attention to detail, was with the furnace. He took a closer look at the furnace and noticed a crack in the face plate of the heat exchanger. He recommended getting a licensed HVAC to look at it. I don't think the guy would have caught it if I hadn't mentioned it. Turns out, that lead to us getting several hundred dollars from the seller to cover repair costs for HVAC!
He also recommended getting a professional roofing company to quote repairs on the roof because of specific problem areas. This again led to us getting money from the seller for a much-needed new roof.
I just really appreciated his attention to detail, experience with homes, desire to educate the home buyer, thoroughness of his pictures and report, friendly personality, and overall professionalism.
